Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be good at art to benefit from art therapy?

Not at all. Art therapy is about expression and process, not artistic skill. Many clients find that using art materials helps them share feelings and experiences that are hard to put into words.

Do you offer telehealth sessions?

Yes. I offer in-person sessions in Middletown, Connecticut, as well as telehealth sessions for clients located in Connecticut and Pennsylvania.

What ages do you work with?

I work with children age 8 and older, teens, and adults. Sessions are always tailored to the developmental level, needs, and goals of each client.

How can art therapy help with anxiety, trauma, or autism?

Art therapy can support emotional regulation, self-awareness, and coping skills. Creative expression can feel safer and more accessible than talking alone, especially for clients who feel overwhelmed, shut down, or unsure how to describe their experiences.

How do I get started?

You can reach out through the contact form on this website to request an appointment. I’ll follow up to learn more about what you’re looking for and talk through next steps.
